Front and Back rack-mounts for stability and reliable mounting. Precision detents aid accurate adjustment. Forced air cooling is a trifle loud for studio use. Quality: Its QSC. Youve heard about QSC, right? We have NEVER had anything by QSC fail... in 30 years; Even under extreme conditions, ...Not even once. Value: Three bills buys this world-class audio master. Thats cheap for QSC quality. Desirability: Looks good. Sounds great. Its all pro and good to go. Sound: Ruler flat response. Great dynamic range. Boatloads of juice. Weve used it for critical monitoring where its clear coherent uncolored fidelity shines. Ive used it for bass guitar and keyboard where the high-power and wide frequency range shows its muscle. Ease of Use: Plug it in. Hook it up. Turn it on. Support: I have never had to call for repair, but I have called for technical advice. The staff was responsive and knowledgeable. Overall: After hearing this amp with several systems, I decided to mount it in a small portable rack back with a power-supply. I use it for everything: keyboard, PA, guitar rig, bass rig. Qsc Rmx850 Power Amplifier (430 Watts) Qsc Power Amps Live Sound/PA Feature: This amp has all the features I need. Peavey amps tend to have better features - cooling system is better in my opinion -- but the QSC has all the options I need with bridging, inputs, outputs, clip, etc. Quality: Constructed well, sound quality is good, and more amps per channel than Peavey amp, equal to Crown. Value: Between sound quality, amps per channel, construction, and features, QSC is the best value on the market. Desirability: No regrets - I will purchase QSC next time Im in the market with my experience so far. Sound: Ive used Peavey and Crown amps in the past to push our sound system (6 loudspeakers w/4 10" and 3 horns on each & 1 Peavey monster subwoofer) and have had good experiences. At the recommendation of a colleague I went with QSC this time around and am very impressed with the quality of sound. I think it is at least equal to my Crown, better than my Peavey. Ease of Use: Most good amps generally plug and play... this is no different. Support: Havent had to deal with them. Overall: Im very hapy with the product. Overall I rate it as high as I can. Qsc Gx5 Power Amplifier (500 Watts) Qsc Power Amps Live Sound/PA Feature: Really, its got everything I need, including a very cool built-in crossover for powering a sub and a top on their own channels. The GuardRail protection system is a no-brainer. Quality: Its a QSC. 6 year warranty free online. What else is there to say. Value: Yes. I think its the best deal in amplifiers out there. Im buying more. Sound: In typical QSC fashion, a great sounding amp. Way more amp for the money than I was expecting. Ease of Use: Lots of inputs and outputs. Thoughtfully done. Support: In all my years of owning QSC products (Im old) Ive only had to contact their tech support once and I was impressed that I got a live body on the phone right away. Qsc Rmx1450 Power Amplifier (700 Watts) Qsc Power Amps Live Sound/PA Feature: Nothing to it but the volume nobs, led light for signal and peak, at the back features for stereo, bridge and parallel connection. Quality: I must say I am very disappointed in this amplifier, you would have better, much better luck with the Crown Macro Tech Series. The Crown Macro Series are unlikely to peak frequently way above peak wattage stated on the manual which mean low distortion at high volume with a 30 amp fuse mean more power input, in turn means more power output. Which I think everyone wants. Value: I honestly think you maybe paying a little more for what this amplifier dishes out. You are just paying the extra money for the name. Desirability: I think I wouldnt want another RMX Series unless its power rated at 5000 peak watts like the 5050 rmx, and it was sold to me for $699. Other than that I dont want another QSC amplifier. Sound: Ive observes and I am sure anyone with the knowledge of amplifiers would agree that the QSC RMX Series peak very quickly, giving the phrase, "Head Room" alot to be desired. There is practically very little "head room", if an amplifiers led light peaks frequently when the volume is pushed, the disappointing issue of distortion that comes with the peak, ie. "Peak Distortion" Its like the wind been punch out of the lungs of the transformer. Support: They are reliable strong, but still lack dramatically. Overall: I am just disappointed in this product. Value: awesome value i use it in my home theater pushing my custom sub box.more than adequate power. Desirability: solid fit and finish. Sound: i use this amp to power custome sub box and it does a great job. Support: never needed support Overall: very well built amp. qsc specifies the rmx 1850 to be more stable in 2 ohm loads for long hauls. wish i knew that before purchase, but no biggie because once i plugged amp in i fell in love.i am very satisfied with the rmx 2450. Qsc Plx1804 Lightweight Power Amplifier Qsc Power Amps Live Sound/PA Feature: Switch , two knobs - all the features I need! Quality: Just like all the other QSC products Ive ever had. Rugged, looks good in the rack, nice blue light... Value: 900 watts a side at 4ohms for seven bills? Any questions? Desirability: The "sex appeal" of this thing (and other QSC stuff) is really the low current draw - I can run this amp, my four QSC HPR boxes, drum monitor amp AND my Marshall off ONE 20 amp AC line - and crank it!! In small pubs, etc, sometimes thats all you get to work with and that is very important to me. It doesnt hurt your back to lift em either!! Sound: Nice, smooth clean tone thoughout the power band. Quite nice. Ease of Use: Plug-in, turn on, turn up, it works. Support: Ive dealt with them on other amps Ive had over the years and never a problem. Overall: I own or have owned all of the other brands of power amp or powered cabs. I have over 30 years experience with professional live sound and the new QSC gear is about the best Ive used for live work. Qsc Rmx4050hd Power Amplifier Qsc Power Amps Live Sound/PA Feature: Turn it on and forget about it! Quality: So far--so good. Weve used four of them fot the last 6 months and had NO problems. Value: Good value for the money Desirability: This product met our particular needs in the price range and was suitable for the type of music that we play. Sound: Sound quality is good. We only use this product live. We use 4 of these amps with 16 JBL SR4726 speaker cabinets (four per amp @ 4Ohms) and the sound quality is superb. Give them plenty of electric and dont over drive the system. Any Amplifier will reproduce the sound efficiently if the system is set up properly. Dont ask it to do more than it is capable of doing. Our Crown power Amps seem to work much better on the low end though. Support: dont know Overall: hopefully we will keep these amps until we wear them out.We compared this product to Crown Amps(probably not a real fair assesment), but dollar for dollar we feel this product served our needs and was an affordable alternative.
