Electro-harmonix 6l6eh Power Amplifier Tube Electro harmonix Guitar Amp Tubes Guitars, Amps, and Effects Value: These EH tubes are inexpensive but produce undesirable sound, at least through my Fender amp. Sound: These tubes sound like garbage in my Fender Hotrod DeVille. The sound is tinny and weak, with nearly zero presence and volume. The preamp tubes are no better. Electro Harmonix tubes are simply no good in my amp. Overall: I was attempting to be thrifty and only cost my self more cash in the long run. If you have a newer Fender amp, avoid these tubes. Desirability: N/A Sound: I use 4 matched for my stereo amp. The amazing thing is that I thought I had them "broke in". The sound was really good, Then they "broke in" again. Now they produce the best sound Ive ever had. The Svets were good, and I keep them as spares, but these are better. Give em a try, but let them have a generous break in period. Electro-harmonix Big Muff Pi Distortion Pedal (made In Russia) Electro harmonix Guitar Distortion Effects Guitars, Amps, and Effects Feature: I think it should have come with a adapter hole, but mabye they didnt put it in because it is battery friendly. The input and output hold dont hold the cables very well but its easy to fix. Other than that its perfect. Quality: Its made all out of metal, so its held up for alot of my gigs (although i dont recommend it for gigs, SEE in features.) Value: This is probably the best deal you could ever get. i mean 60 bucks for a legendary pedal? Cant beat that. Desirability: ehh. Its not like attractive but it does look cool. Sound: The sound..Its OKAY, not the best. It sounds alot better with a Boss overdrive, so if your planning to get this make sure you have a overdrive or some kind of heavy distortion, just to bring out the muff tone more. The sustain is not the best, i would definetly recommend a Big Muff USA edition if you want more sustain, but if you want fuzz go with this. Ease of Use: Oh yeah, its like the most user friendly pedal, its got 3 knobs but its just Volume, Sustain, and Tone. Electro-harmonix Little Big Muff Distortion Pedal Electro harmonix Guitar Distortion Effects Guitars, Amps, and Effects Feature: For some odd reason, my volume and sustain knobs were reversed so instead of going from left to right sustain, tone, volume it goes volume,tone,sustain. doesnt effect the tone of the pedal though... at least to my knowledge. I havent tried any other LBM so I couldnt say for sure. Quality: built like a tank, as we like to say. really sturdy Value: at 66 dollars, what more could you ask for? Desirability: sound wasnt exactly what I expected but I grew to like it as I played it. Sound: Pretty amazing sound although when I turn the volume up on the pedal it will start crackling a bit while the note is playing. I think that might be due to the fact that I already have an 18V bass cranked to full. I still have to try it on my 9v bass, see how that handles it. Ease of Use: pretty easy!! 3 knobs, 2 jacks and 1 stomp button... Support: I just sent them off an email 5 mins ago so I cant say. Lovely sustainer control. Value: Nice for the pedal. It worth to pay its price. Sound: The sound is nice, but a little "bassy" when you play the low strings making chords... The sound is more like Fuzz, but its just great. Overall: Nice sustainer, if you dont move the string (vitrato you can make, ofcourse), fuzz-like distortion, really BIG muff... its bigger than I tought. Its appearance is just lovely. What more do you need? Quality: Its and E-H. Nuff said. Value: Less than $100. I have other pedals costing upwards of $400. and this baby is in the same league. Desirability: Im only rating this 10 on the sound. Its a no frills grey box. How sexy is that? The sound is sexy! Sound: As a bass player for over 40 years, I am always looking for new gadgets to shape the sound differently. When I first started playing in the 60s, there was not a lot around for bass players and I used a variety of guitar effects, some which worked and others which did not. I purchased the Nano Small Stone and just received it, plugged it in and, voila, my bass came alive with sounds that I havent heard in many years. I have dozens of pedals, including the Bass MuRF, Bass Crybaby Wah, Bassweet Overdrive, etc. and this baby is in the same class, even though it is for guitar. Bassists, go out and try this, you wont be disappointed. Ease of Use: One knob, one small toggle, one stomp switch....simple! Support: I can only presume that tech support would be really good. Never needed it for an E-H product. Overall: I have recently upgraded my equipment, as I am going back on the road after a 15 year absence. Quality: Fit for the road. Made in the USA! mines been working under hard use for many gigs. The only acomplaint is that there is a screw on the battery compartment, but since im using a godlyke harness for power its not really a gripe. Value: Worth the price period Desirability: Not pretty but not ugly by any means. Technicaly the analog aspect is very copelling for me vs. a digital box Sound: rich analog sound. No didgital disappointnents, true bypass. Absolutely the best sounding chorus Ive ever heard, and for the price, well you just cant beat this box. It will make a sweep noise at high volumes. So be it I just add a gate at the end of my chain. Ease of Use: easy to use period Support: Emails answered promptly. Made a call to tehm before purchasing another EH box and got a teck who answered all questions no problem. Electro-harmonix Metal Muff Distortion Pedal Electro harmonix Guitar Distortion Effects Guitars, Amps, and Effects Feature: This thing has plenty of features for a distortion pedal. Its really nice. Quality: extremely good quality build Value: I think this was an expensive pedal for the uses I needed, and the end result was I didnt get what I wanted, even though it does sound nice by itself. Sound: The sound was allright. I would use this for solos, or speed metal, or just playing through your amp. Its got plenty of distortion, and the top boost knob makes it even more fun. The problem is that it cuts through very badly if your using it for production work. The EQ was not enough to fix this, as the mids were set way too high (1000k), and the bass boosted so low that it was boomy. Pre-EQing didnt seem to help me too much, as it still sounded colored. Your best bet is to use this pedal straight to the amp for best sound & playing. I liked the metal sound very much, but I think this needed a tonality boost EQ between 125k-500k, instead of a mid range that was set too high. I was looking for a low & hard distortion with alot of treble rolloff, and this just wasnt it. Ease of Use: Very easy to use, but takes awhile to get a good sound you like. Support: dont know Overall: Overall its a good distortion. Lots and lots of gain, plus a fun top boost. Be wary if you are using it in a band setting or for production work. Quality: Seems solid, all steel. Too early to comment on reliability. Value: Beats the pants off other echo pedals for performance at a lower price too. Desirability: Looks plain and probably old fashioned - only one knob for goodness sake! It does the job, how often should i repeat this? Sound: It produces pure delay for reverb or echo with no additional noise etc. It does what is says on the box without any fuss. What more do you want. Support: Bought it from retailer.
