Dynaudio Acoustics Bm5a Active Nearfield Monitor Dynaudio Acoustics Active powered Studio Monitors Recording Feature: Has filters on the back that let you get the sound perfect for your situation. Quality: From the woofer materials to the casing, its all top notch. No cheap metal screens here like in the m-Audio models. Value: They sound like they cost 5 times what they do. Desirability: Very chic, no awkward bright trim that clashes with your room design. Sound: Sound is incredible, I was worried about the bass response since it rolls off at 50hz but the low end is very very clean and transparent. Ease of Use: Plug and play. FYI: get Mogami gold XLR to TRS cables, virtually no degradation of sound. Overall: The best investment Ive made in my studio so far. If youre trying to design a relatively inexpensive project studio I wouldnt trust anything else. As with anything, there is a rolloff curve with price to performance. If you spend half of what you spend on these, you will have a significantly worse sounding product, whereas if you spend 20 times what you spend on these, the improvement in sound quality will only be noticeable to the most distinguishing of engineers. Dynaudio Bm6a Mkii Active Nearfield Monitor Dynaudio Acoustics Active powered Studio Monitors Recording Quality: Solid, well built Sound: I own other Dynaudio speakers in an Audiophile set-up. These speakers, as little as they may be sound 10 times bigger, just as detailed and honest to the recording as anything I have ever heard. The bottom is wonderful deep full and full of punch. The mids and highs are perfect, no listener fatigue what so ever. I listened for about an hour after I hooked them up and the next day had a long 5+ hour nonstop session with no fatigue at all...In fact I was looking for more tracks to listen too. Ease of Use: The High/Low level, mid/high/lf controls are just an added plus. Really in most rooms they will never be used but having them their means you should be able to suit these gems to any room.
