Crown Cm311a Headworn Condenser Microphone Crown Headset Microphones Recording Feature: Never have you used a mike with better gain before feedback: one of the principle advantages of this microphone. You can play games and see how close you can get to the speaker with the volume cranked; lots of fun. The microphone headband is designed to be permanently bent to the shape of the users head, so you cant trade it from one user to the next, but it fits better than one you can trade. Quality: I had to re-solder the cable a few months back, but thats after 4.5 years of use, which is a very long time for a headsets cable to last. Value: Excellent value for the price Sound: I use the CM311A both for my voice and for my various wind instruments (recorders, tin whistles, Incan flute) and it works excellently for both. Crown Xls202 Amplifier Crown Power Amps Live Sound/PA Feature: The cooling fans make too much noise after about a year or so. They are constantly on (not temperature controlled like the Crowns CH series). They also attract dust because they have to be constantly ON. Quality: Sound is perfect, however fans keep me worried. Value: XLS202 should be about $50 cheaper. Desirability: Yes I still want it even with those fans, dont have a choice! You cant go wrong with Crown. Crown Xls402 Amplifier Crown Power Amps Live Sound/PA Feature: Well if your paying for an amp, expect to get one! thing is that no cables are included like XLR to 6.3 Jack or anything. They are costly enough, concidering you need two jack -> XLR. And then two Speak-On cables to speakers. I went for good cables, cost me about 60???€???. (75$) Quality: Well with the gaurantee it comes with.. how can you go wrong? Value: V good price... things can always be even cheaper. So no 10. Desirability: hehehe Yea i likes it... :-) Sound: Sound Quality = very good!! the reason for the 8 is that i find that it has a little too much medium frequencies... Im running it trough two JBL JRX 125 speakers.. Ease of Use: BRILLIANT!! plug it in, turn it up instant Dummm sticka ahhhhh... ;) Support: Dont know! Overall: Good amp. Clean sound, ZERO buzz even when turned up. I like the ergonomics.. The Volume controles are notched, VERY handy, ya wont understand until youve tried them out! Crown Xls802 Power Amplifier Crown Power Amps Live Sound/PA Feature: It comes ready to use. You will need to invest in the Speakon cables, which you will definitely want. Buy top-shelf cables! Quality: Product seems to be very well designed and built. I believe it will be dependable. Value: Absolutely worth every penny. Desirability: Not flashy at all. Businesslike. Very desireable. Sound: I am using the XLS802 under an Alembic F2B preamp, and it is excellent. Bridged mono at 4ohms, the amp is silent running (very soft fan whirr only), and the power is amazing. The preamp is excellent, and the headroom the bridged amp gives me is beyond any requirements that the Acme Low B cabinet (4x10-high power requirements of 1000 watts or more to avoid clipping) demands at full song. Excellent power amp. Deserves to be a Crown. Ease of Use: I run it bridged mono. Attenuators fully open. The preamp controls presence and tone completely, while the Crown is invisible (noisewise) in the signal chain. Just like you want it to be. But believe me, you cant forget that you are using the equivalent of a tactical nuke to power your rig! Support: Havent had any problems to deal with so far. Overall: I see no reason to ever replace it. For my performance needs, it is complete and utter overkill, headroom wise. Permanent addition to my rack. Crown Xti4000 Power Amplifier (3200 Watts) Crown Power Amps Live Sound/PA Feature: The DSP on this is INCREDIBLE. The amp comes with stock presets, but that is only 5% of what it can do. Buy this amp and download the free System Architect. With this software you can configure and save over a dozen user presets. Each channel has independent configuration of EQ, compression, crossover, subsynth, etc. I was able to sell off all my outboard crossovers, limiters, etc and go straight from the mixer into the poweramps. Quality: I think that one of my amps has a channel that drops out. I had to cycle it twice at a gig to get it to come back. Sound: Excellent. I run four of these at 4 ohms bridged on tops and subs - sounds amazing. Ease of Use: Easy to use. The System Architect software takes a few hours to go thru the first time, but its worth it. Support: Online warranty registration is not as nice as the QSC site - no confirmation email. Overall: Light, powerful, DSP, & Crown. This is an awesome amp.
