Cad Kbm412 Low Frequency Large Cardioid Microphone Cad Dynamic Instrument Microphones Recording Feature: Its a kick mic so I dont know what you want from it. It plugs in and you get sound. Quality: Ive used this for a lot of live gigs and its still kicking. Value: I dont think that any of the other kick mics in this range sound as good. Can you find better, yes but it will cost more. Desirability: Who wants cheap mics? If you have this mic its because of the price Sound: Sounds great for the price. Of course a D112 sounds better but for $50 you wont beat it. Cad U37 Studio Condenser Usb Microphone Cad Large Stand mount Condenser Microphones Recording Feature: There are a few accessories and features. The microphone comes with a tripod stand along with a microphone stand mount. On the microphone, there are two switches. One of them, very useful, decreases the sound pickup by -10 dB. The other, pretty cool, decreases the bass pickup. Quality: Made very well. One complaint, thats kind of funny, is the status light is very bright. It makes you have to look away every once in a while. Value: When I got the microphone, I was surprised it wasnt more. Desirability: It has a olive/tan look to it, other than that, its nice. Sound: The sound quality could be better, but the main part of that is because it is a USB microphone. Other than that, the quality of the sound is superb. It cuts out most of the background noise also. Ease of Use: Very easy to use. No complaints. Cad Gxl2400 Large Diaphragm Condenser Microphone Cad Large Stand mount Condenser Microphones Recording Feature: The fact that this mic includes a shockmount all for $79.99 is again, a fabulous value. I attempted to purchase a shockmount for my Neumann it was $250 just for the shockmount. Quality: CAD is the one of the best microphone companies in the world. I have several of their mics, much more expensive. Their sound and quality are the best and they stand behind every purchase. Desirability: This is a very stylish mic. Small but powerful! Sound: I have a Neumann TLM103($1200) and Ive A/Bd the CAD GXL2400 against this mic. You can hardly tell the difference, really. I have turned so many people onto this mic Im surprised CAD can keep up with the demand. It truely is the best mic for the price. Ease of Use: All you need is phantom power and youre running. You may want a pop filter of some kind since it is sensitive as is most phantom powered large diaphram microphones. Support: As I just mentioned CAD support is the best. Cad Dmtp7 7-piece Drum Microphone Touring Package Cad Dynamic Instrument Microphones Recording Feature: It comes with a really handy carrying case which is great if your using them for live events. Also they come with clips so its really easy to set everything up. Quality: These are actually pretty sturdy mics. Again if you need mics for live use, these are a great choice. Comes with the carrying case, they are very durable (ive whacked them with a drum stick many times) and get a decent enough sound for live shows. Value: Quite good value for the price your paying. If you have no drum mics at all i would recommend getting this to get things started. Sound: The sounds of these microphones are alright. Probably what youd expect for the price. They are a great deal if you needs some live drum mics, but are not the best choice for recording. The Pencil mics it comes with are actually pretty good for recording though. They give a nice clean high end sound out of my crashes. The bass mic, and snare mic however do not sound overly great in a recording. Ease of Use: Getting a good sound with the pencil mics wasnt so hard, but getting a good sound from my bass drum and snare drum were very difficult when recording with these. Now when recording I use the pencil mics for my overheads, an SM57 for the snare, the tom mic this comes with for the hi tom, and a large diaphram condenser for the floor tom...Im also thinking of getting a new bass mic. Cad Trion 7000 Dynamic Dual Element Ribbon Microphone Cad Ribbon Microphones Recording Feature: Not a lot of features but its a ribbon. What do you expect? Quality: They have to cut costs somewhere. The mic itself seems pretty sturdy. The mounting portion of the basket is very good and will hold the mic in any position required, but the clips that hold the mic in the basket are pretty flimsy. Be careful and it will last a long time. Value: You will not finder a nicer ribbon at this price. Desirability: Well.... I bought it.... and I would definately buy another one. Sound: This thing sounds great! The only reason I give it a 9 and not a 10 is that there are better ones out there... .but not at this price. Absolutely OUTSTANDING on electric guitar cabs. Very nice on accoustic guitar and pretty good for vocals too. Its pretty flat so what you put in is pretty much what you get out. Its not a Royer but you can get 5 of these for the price of 1 Royer. Ease of Use: Put the basket on a stand and put the mic in the basket... point and record. Wonderful. Support: n/a Overall: I suspect that I will not tire of this mic. Just got it but so far it has been great. Value: This is where this mic truly shines. I have use Neumann, AKG and others and this has by far been the best buy for the money. Desirability: Definitely a classic design. Sound: Got it and recorded my first vocal session and was blown away at the responsiveness of this mic. I am a very discerning ear and feel that this is a great buy. Ease of Use: Plug and play is a time saver. Let it warm up and you will more than like this mic.
