The 1/4" adaptor stays on better too. Value: Yes. Oh, I chose them at a store with tons of models to choose from, the ATHM20s were thin and awful, and the 40s sounded really weird... the mid-priced ATHM30s sounded best of em all, until I got up to the $150-250 Sennheissers etc. Sound: I bought a bunch of these instead of MDR-7506s for recording. Less expensive, less exaggerated high end and a fuller low end. Overall less hyped sounding, and the fuller bass helps the rhythm section hear themselves. In two years, 2 out of 16 broke one speaker each, thats a lot less damage than a room full of Sonys. Overall: These met my goal of being cheap enough to buy 16 of em, but still sound satisfying. Audio Technica Pro8hex Headworn Hypercardioid Dynamic Microphone With Xlr Connection Audio Technica Headset Microphones Recording Feature: Its very light weight and I didnt need a long cord but that wouldnt be a problem if I needed one. I wish it had a switch. At the end of my concerts I move around and I have to take the thing off which so far has resulted in a loud thump and scratching sound. I have to grab for the mixer now. A switch would be nice. Quality: It seems to be a little light weight but thats also an advantage. I always have backups for almost everything. Right now thats a stand mike. Im a sax player so the vocal stand mike gets in my way. I am always on the road traveling somewhere to gigs and I cant go back for something. Value: yes Desirability: I dont wear it around my head because I often have a hat on so I put it around my neck outside my coller. It doesnt interfere with my sax neckstrap since its lite weight too Sound: I think the sound is pretty good. I read another review before purchasing the mike that panned the sound. There advantages to stand mikes but for what I needed this is pretty good. It tends to pop without the included wind shields. Ease of Use: works good for me. Support: no problems Overall: I was originally going to go wireless but since I am only a couple of feet from my mixer the cord length and all the extra junk I would have to carry for wireless makes wireless less than attractive although it has its advantages too. Sound: Out of the box they sound good but there was a little midboost and lack of bass in some music. After two months of use they sound great no midboost and the bass is punchy and deep. Audio Technica At2020 Studio Microphone Audio Technica Large Stand mount Condenser Microphones Recording Feature: its a mic, it works great, wish they threw in a shockmount. that would make it a 10. Quality: better built than any competing manufacturers of cheap mics, and as well built as a way more expensive AT4050, one of the more common pro studio mics you can get from the same company. Value: best deal going for an acoustic guitar mic, good for other uses as well. Desirability: fairly sexy mic for the money, way better built than apex, nady, mxl, or other chinese mics. Sound: best acoustic guitar mic you can get for under $400. at around $100 its a steal, get a pair for $200, then buy more mic stands, cables, and other toys for the rest of your change. I use it professionally and it works great and almost every guitar Ive recorded, better than cheap competition like the SP B1 and other LDC mics, since the 2020 is SDC it handles transients better and has less bass build up from the sound hole, much much more even guitar pickup, very complimentary, and GREAT rear and side rejection. Ease of Use: easier to place for acoustic guitar than most other mics. all positions works well, 12th fret aimed at sound hole is amazing though. Support: no problems, no support issues, so its a 10.
