The functionality might be great...if you could see the display!! It is WAy too small and has no backlighting. At first, I thought the batteries that came with the unit must be bad, so I spent money to buy new ones. then, i realized that something was happening on the screen...I just couldnt tell WHAT. I even tried using a large magnifying glass to attempt to use the thing...no luck. They are good for what the job is and they dont mess up the sound. Quality: It is a Korg, Korg makes great products, hince this a great product. It is made well and is strong. Value: 250 dollars isnt chump change, but what youre getting is a quality product that is FUN and easy to use! Desirability: Blue is always cool and it is not a bad shade of it either! It has straight forward styling and that is what i like. Sound: The quality used in making this product is exceptional. The loop feature is a lot of fun. It is a great beang for the buck product. Ill be getting one as soon as i can afford it (i am only 15 so money is limited but this product is still affordable). Support: I havent had to deal with the company, because the products have always been quality. Overall: This "pedal" has everything. It has a loop, which i love. Akai Mpk49 49-key Midi Controller Akai Compact Keyboard Controllers Keyboards and MIDI Feature: It has great features and works with almost any program, however Ive found that the keys and pads translate information too slowly to play fluently. For a person use to using a triton, this was a huge letdown. Quality: I h.ad it about two weeks, then one of the function controls bent somehow. The pads were also very soft. They say that they mimic the mpc pads, but they feel like something made by fisher price. I like the pads on Korgs midi controller better Value: I would have been better off buying the m-audio 88 key controller which goes for the same price, but transposes information faster. Desirability: The sexiness of it was probably the final factor in me choosing to try this product versus others Sound: U cant really rate something for sound if it doesnt actually create sounds can u? Ease of Use: I found it very easy to set up the parameters and preset functions. Support: I didnt have to call anyone except the company I brought it from to exchange it for a better and more reliable product. Overall: I wouldnt want anyone to steal it, because then i couldnt get my money back, but if they did, id take my insurance $ and spend it on the next thing. Akai tried, but they still have some improvements to make. I guess when everyone is making bs equipment for 1/2 ass musicians, u can get away with selling a piece of garbage like this. it was a huge waste of money. Would like to have a bigger screen and chop mode for samples. Quality: Just like any other MPC i ever touched Value: At first, i thought it was little expensive, but now that i had it for a bit , i think is worth it. Desirability: looks good,feels good. Sound: Same MPC quality Ease of Use: Im still learning the 500, everyday i use it, i find something to be more useful ,in my productions. Support: Havent needed it thus far. Sound: It Sounds like 90% of sounds you hear in movies and tv. Ease of Use: At first its like any other wind instrument...not as easy as it seems but if you have any experience learning any musical instrument you will soon realize that its perfectly fine to do some research and spend a few weeks working on it before you take it out to your next gig.
