The Sennheiser e914 is a high-grade condenser microphone for very demanding applications. Its outstanding sound properties qualify the e914 for highly sophisticated applications like acoustic guitars, cymbals, percussion, overhead, orchestras, and grand pianos.
Feature:
All the necessary controls for controlling bass problems, and the attenuation is handy for electric guitar amps.
Sound:
Very smooth sound for recording choirs and instruments. Ive used it as part of a matched pair in ORTF for recording a medium sized choir. And it is fantastic for recording acoustic guitar, and for the second ambience mic on an electric guitar amp.
Ease of Use:
Like any mic, you need to know what youre doing, but this one is very resistant to feedback compared to other cheaper mics Ive tried. And doesnt need heavy EQing to sound good.
Support:
This thing is made of brass and feels extremely solid. I have one that has survived a drop from the top of 2m high boom onto hard marble. Only a slight dent in the wire scree, but it kept working like nothing happened.

Quality: Well-built if simple. Mostly plastic, but not shoddy at all. I wouldnt toss them around or sit on them, but theyre still well built. Value: Great value for the price! Desirability: I like the look of it, simple but clean. You can find better-looking ones out there but the quality is hard to beat for the price. Sound: I love the sound quality, better than any others Ive owned to date. I imagine theyre not as good as the really expensive head phones (>$100) but they still put out amazing sound quality. Support: Never dealt with them on support issues, product worked without any problems. Overall: I love it, I looked all over to get this particular model, and will continue to use them until enough money drops from the sky to where I can afford a really top of the line pair.
