Sound:
I have an 18 AAX plosion, and i gotta say, this thing has a super-versatile sound. I can whack it for a nice, trashy accent suitable for any style from jazz, to rock, to metal. It rides great for a tremendous wave of brilliance suitable for hardcore & metal. It sounds great when rolled on with soft mallets, too. And the bell is just perfect for funk work.
