The DB25B is a transformer balanced, passive direct box. It features a Ground Lift switch for hum elimination, and an Attenuator control for padding the input signal from -20dB to -infinity dB. Padding the input signal provides a way to connect the DB25B to a line level signal, even a speaker level signal and connecting it to a balanced line or Mic input on a mixer. The two 1/4 inch; inputs are paralleled pass-throughs to also send the input signal to a tuner, pre amp, etc..

Rolls He18 Buzz Off Hum Eliminator Rolls Hum Eliminators Live Sound/PA Overall: Ok, I think the first guy to used this didnt actually know what this is for. This is NOT meant for guitar effect pedals. Your single coil guitar pickup is going to buzz, this wont fix that. This unit works best in between your mixer and power amplifier. OR, in between rack mount effects/processors. That is where it is meant to be. For all other problems, there are other solutions. For your guitar, research copper shielding your guitar. Or perhaps switch out the single coil pickups. Your guitar effect pedals, try getting a "zero hum" AC adaptor. Danelectro makes an awesome one that works with all my pedals. And it pretty much goes without saying get some quality cables. The shorter the cable run, the better. Im not saying buy Monster Cables, or Mogami cables... But it wouldnt hurt to try a quality cable. What Im saying is the guy who wrote the review "useless for guitar effects loop" is right. This is useless for a guitar effects loop, and he should have known that before spending $60 on a product he didnt understand the use for. But thats just me, I might be wrong.
