The Oddity is modeled on the classic ARP Odyssey which was used by artists as diverse as Gary Numan, Herbie Hancock, Kraftwerk and Portishead. In much the same way as the M-Tron turned a whole new generation on to those sounds, were certain the Oddity will do the same in terms of monophonic/duophonic synths.
Feature:
Two syncable, fully tunable oscillators. 4 Waveforms, white/pink noise. Either mono or duo phonic.
Quality:
Seems like the guys at Gmedia took their time to make this one just right.
Value:
IMO just as good or better than many hardware synths - paying nearly nothing for a replica of a great synthesizer.
Desirability:
Have it, but as far as looks this thing has a great vintage look - true to the Odyssey.
Sound:
Amazingly accurate recreation of the old ARP Odyssey. Sounds great.
Support:
Havent had to use it.
Overall:
Amazing soft synth.

Quality: The program design is very poor indeed. It has major cpu use problems that the support team were not really interested in solving. Value: I would not buy it again as it has not been designed properly to work with Mac osx. Desirability: Its not that kind of product. I did not buy for sex appeal. Sound: The sounds are fantastic but has major cpu problems when used with Mac osx and very poor product support. Ease of Use: Major cpu program problems. Support: E-mail support for this is very poor indeed and can take days or longer for a reply. This is not a pro tool.
