The solid-state Jazz-King delivers inspiring Fender tone and performance for the modern jazz guitarist. Based on Fenders successful Steel King, the Jazz-King has a lighter speaker and a preamp specially voiced for jazz guitar.
Feature:
I couldnt care about all of the other features - the parametric mid is THE feature on this amp for versatile tone.
Quality:
I suppose its made well at this price point. Because it is SS and heat is much less (and no tube noise), I suspect it will be tough. How can you mess up a SS circuit?
Value:
It is a great value.
Desirability:
Huh?
Sound:
This has the round Fender tone. They suggest leaving everything at 12 oclock for a good tone. But I like to boost the low mids a touch and back off the treble for the richest warmth out of this puppy. Confirmed - its great for jazz. But more of a classic jazz tone than a modern one (ala Evans, Acoustic). I think it has a bit if a softer attack than these other amps. Now here is the kicker - as a cover/pop type of amp with pedals - amazing!! Dont be deterred by lack of tubes coming from someone whos been through the tube mill ad nauseum. This has an amazingly rich, punchy sound and loves pedals. Plus - youll have clean headroom for miles. Tell me again - why do you need to buy the 65 Twin Reissue? Who needs the heat and weight of that albatross.
Ease of Use:
Easy
Support:
Good through the dealer.
Overall:
OK, It has a killer clean sound, loves pedals, and does jazz very well. Overall, its quite a versatile amp.

Fender Hot Rod Deville 212 Guitar Combo Amplifier (60 Watts 2x12 In.) Fender Guitar Combo Amps Guitars, Amps, and Effects Feature: Footswith is made well and takes punishment well. more drive needs more drive. needs a seperate EQ for each channel. speaker output a major plus.added closed back cabinets really add different tones. Quality: solid cabinet, heavy, durable, looks cool and simple, no hoop la. get a flight case if you cant handle the lifting. Value: could be a bit cheaper,$550.00-$600.00 tops, I paid over 700.00 plus tax in CA. Desirability: It gets me groupies.enough said Sound: plays great Indie rock, punk, rockabilly with and without fx pedals. smooth clean tones and deep reverb. the distortion sounds better with a extension cabinet (marshall 1960a sounds fat), sounds nice with gibson guitars. Support: havent had to contact. Overall: Aside from the single EQ for both clean and Dirty channel its up to par. I highly suggest adding a closed back extension cab to make it a half stack or go stereo. the extension cab with give you more low end punch. If more fat distortion is needed buy a good pedal. Visual sound pedals work well, loud but control your feed back, dial in your own sound. over all this combo is a keeper. Its a steal for its price Listing Price :$1099 Shipping fee :$0 Review this product |
