These Ernie Ball strings are made from nickel-plated steel wire wrapped around tin plated hex shaped steel core wire. Their nickel-wound sets are by far the most popular, producing a well balanced and all around good sound.
Quality:
They go from crisp to dull in about two weeks from regular play (about an hour a day), and Ive had more than a few break while simply putting them on; a problem I havnt had with my usual brand.
Sound:
Not bad. They make sound, and it sounds like a guitar. Hasnt brought out the tone in mine the way other strings do, but they arent exactly shostrings, either. They seem to lose their brightness rather quickly in my experience.
