Emu Xboard 61 61-key Midi Controller Emu 61 key Keyboard Controllers Keyboards and MIDI Feature: For its intended purpose, the features are fine. Very easy to use and does everything a midi controller should. Quality: The keys on this controller blow away almost any synth out there including all the really expensive Euro and Japanese ones. I dont know how EMU did it, but the feel of these keys are top quality! So much better than any M-Audio or other plastic midi controller. The X-Board keys remind of the smoothness of an Access Virus keyboard. Value: For $250 you cant beat it. And it has After Touch! Something the M-Audio board do not support. Some M-Audio and Edirol support programmable after touch but this is not the same. Ease of Use: Simple Overall: Overall this is really a great midi controller. I wish the Novation Remote SL (Automap) boards had the same quality keys because I like Novations idea of Automap, but the keys on the Novation are hard and clunky. The X-board is the way to go! Emu Xboard 49 49-key Midi Controller Emu Compact Keyboard Controllers Keyboards and MIDI Feature: i dont use any of the packaged software (just the drivers). all i really needed was a set of keys. its got alot more features than that, but i dont really use them. Quality: the build quality is fairly low. the keys are very nice, but the knobs and buttons feel cheap, but they havent broken and they continue to work well. for this pricerange i would say it is well built. most of the design went into giving it a good quality keyboard. Value: i bought mine used. its holding up nicely and i get alot of great use out of it for the price i paid. Desirability: im glad i got it. its got nice blue lights and display. its silver/grey finish is fairly plain. Sound: it doesnt really make any sound... Ease of Use: fairly straight forward. i havent used many of the features Support: E-mu supplies up to date drivers on their website, which is nice. Overall: i like it. i may replace it sometime in the future, but probably not. im a college student on a budget. Listing Price :$229.99 Shipping fee :$0 Review this product |

Emu Xboard 25 25-key Midi Controller Emu Compact Keyboard Controllers Keyboards and MIDI Feature: Using it interfaced to a computer has the USB port. For me the biggest limitation was only 2 octaves. I was not playing 2 hand piano pieces, but 2 octaves is just plain constraining. However, I knew this was the case buying it. However, 2 octaves is easy to carry around. Quality: The feel to the keyboard is very nice and didnt break down. It doesnt feel like piano keys. There is a little more friction, which gives it a nice cushiony feel. None of the knobs or buttons failed on me or got dirty. Value: It didnt break at all after about a year. Price was OK. Desirability: Just a basic, reliable MIDI controller with a solid feel on the keyboard that will fit in a compact space. Sound: This is a MIDI controller and does not produce sound on its own. This is only an input device that I used with Reason 3.0. Ease of Use: I had to read the manual only to find out that Reason just detects it and I dont have to worry about the stand alone functionality, which I didnt need anyway. Support: Didnt need to contact support. Manual was OK. Only had to read it once or so. Overall: For me the main limitation is 2 octaves, but I knew that buying it. Knobs worked with Reason. I am completely satisfied with the key action. Listing Price :$199.99 Shipping fee :$0 Review this product |
