Alesis Fireport 1394 Firewire Interface Adat/fst
Alesis
Multitrack Accessories
Recording
Plug an ADAT/FST-formatted drive into the hot-swappable FirePort dock, fire up (no pun intended) the FST/Connect software, and youve got a blazing 400Mb/sec firewire connection between the stable, affordable tracking of Alesis HD recorders and the editing power of your computer.
Feature:
Support for broadcast wave would be awsome. (bouncing projects longer than 2 or 3 hours).Cause FST and recording for more than 90 minutes is what the DM24 set it apart from de tascam MX2424 and the Mackie recorders
Quality:
Its nicely build but, well, its more sturdy than ordinary computerstuff but not so awsome build as the HD24 wich gets a 10.
Value:
Its something you need beside a HD24 when recording live
Desirability:
Its just gear I need.
Sound:
The Fireport is a great piece of hardware. But be aware. It doesnt use broadcast wave. And however the HD24 can record for hours and hours, dont make sessions longer than 1,5 hours or its impossible to bounce using this fireport. For the rest? it simply works on a PC, and thats a whole lot.
Support:
One broke down, I bought another one, and however they wanted to replace it, they ran out of stock so I got my mony back. Thanks that I allready bought me one.
Overall:
It now has support for the mac, Thats cool. When they have support for broadcast wave Ill go through the roof.

Alesis Micron 37-key Analog Modeling Synth Alesis Compact Synthesizers Keyboards and MIDI Feature: Audio In and pedal inputs and a full size keyboard puts the micro korg to shame. Sound Sound: it is everything I expected and more. one of the more playable keyboards I have ever owned. Amazing for its size. Will have to give the Ion a closer look. Alesis M1 Active 520 2-way Near Field Monitor (75 Watts) Alesis Active powered Studio Monitors Recording Feature: The light on the top reminds me to turn it off when I turn off my computer. Since this is shielded, I keep it right next to my CRT monitor, and no noise or interference. Quality: Great for home speaker. This thing is quite heavy, nothing like M-Audio which are light and plasticy. Value: A++++ Desirability: Cool looks with black and white design. Sound: It sounds really good. The bass is great since I can adjust to my room and its right against the wall, its more than I need. The high are great and so are the mids. Ease of Use: You have to turn on/off few switches to adjust to your room, which is great for people like me with no acoustic design in the room. Support: Have to wait for a year or two after it break down. Overall: Ill buy another one since its the pefect I need and want. Listing Price :$499 Shipping fee :$0 Review this product |

Alesis M1 Active 320 Usb Active Monitors Alesis Active powered Studio Monitors Recording Feature: Light, loud, lots of connectors. Quality: Except for the (to my ears and setup) coloration in the mid-bass, I think its a good quality powered monitor. I am keeping them. Value: Cant beat the price to quality ratio. Sound: I used cool edit to generate a frequency sweep. Somewhere within 150-400 hz the audio peaked noticeably then almost dissapeared. Not very scientific, but to my ears, in an open setup with no reflections, there is a coloration around that band--mid bass has a huge peak and high bass has a trough. Low bass is good. Highs are crisp and seem flat with the midrange. Ease of Use: Plug and Play went so fast I didnt even see the hour glass. Support: n/a Listing Price :$199 Shipping fee :$3.99 Review this product |
